Bob's Paving was started when Bob Sobkowich Jr. purchased an old dump truck in 1979.  With the help of Bob Sr., they rebuilt it. By the spring of 1980, they were open for business!

From that initial one-man operation and a $500 investment, the business expanded to a five man crew and includes modern paving and excavating equipment valued at over a half million dollars.  "We now have a large supply of field run top-soil, rubble, stone, and sand for loading pickups and trailers from our Perth Operations," said Bob Jr.

"We have now outgrown our current location in the Town of Florida, and have now located our new office and shop in the Town of Perth," he continued.  Today Bob Sr. still handles equipment repairs and maintenance, with Bob Jr. handling all of the day to day operations.  Bob Jr.'s wife Sue handles all of the book keeping and phone duties. Robby, Tony, and Vinny are getting ready to take over sometime in the 21st century, with Robby maintaining the position of company webmaster.

In January of 2006, we were excited to announce that Bob's Paving had become a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC).  Becoming an LLC will allow us to provide our customers with more professional and cost-efficient service while ensuring the continued financial and logistical success of the company.  Bob's Paving, LLC is constantly adapting to better serve our customers and meet the ever-changing requirements of succeeding in today's tough business atmosphere, especially for family owned small businesses.  We are now more committed than ever to meeting the needs of our customers in the 21st century.
